In a shocking tale of deception, a Chinese man managed to secretly maintain relationships with four women, all living in the same housing complex—one even in the same building as his wife—without any of them discovering the others. The astonishing story has gone viral on Chinese social media, capturing widespread attention.
The man, known by the pseudonym Xiaojun, hails from Jilin province in northeastern China. Coming from a modest background and having dropped out of secondary school, Xiaojun crafted an elaborate false persona as a wealthy heir. He deceived his wife, Xiaojia, by presenting a fabricated story of successful parents and gifting her counterfeit luxury items purchased online. They married after Xiaojia's pregnancy, unaware of the truth about his financial situation.
Upon discovering his lies, Xiaojia chose not to divorce him but decided to raise their child alone, eventually expelling him from their home. Undeterred, Xiaojun went on to start relationships with three other women—Xiaohong, a woman he borrowed a large sum of money from, and two university students, Xiaomin and Xiaoxin, along with a nurse, Xiaolan. He continued his deceptive schemes, borrowing money under false pretences and even renting apartments to live with these women.
Xiaojun’s web of lies unravelled when one of the women, Xiaoxin, found fake cash in a bag he claimed held large sums of money. After reporting him to the authorities, police arrested Xiaojun, revealing his multi-layered deception and his secret life with multiple women.
